What to expect:

To ensure you receive the full hour of your scheduled massage, please arrive on time. Late arrivals will cause a shorter massage.

Interview and Health History Review: I place great emphasis on understanding each client’s unique needs and preferences. During this interview process, we’ll discuss any specific areas of concern, past injuries, and your overall health and wellness goals. This helps me tailor the massage treatment specifically to you.

If this is your first time receiving a massage with me, please complete the client intake form that I will email to you separately. Alternatively, you can fill it out at my office—just allow extra time for this option.

Assessment Prior to Massage Treatment: Before your massage, I will conduct an assessment to determine the best techniques for your needs. This assessment will take an additional 15 to 30 minutes of your scheduled massage time, and it’s included in the price.

Homecare Instructions After Massage: Once you are dressed, I will demonstrate home-care instructions as required. This could entail hydrotherapy, stretch or strengthen exercises or modification.

If your schedule is tight, I recommend booking your appointment on a day when you can fully enjoy both the assessment and the massage.

Thank you!

**NOTE:

If you were involved in a motor vehicle accident (MVA) prior to your appointment, you must first consult your insurance provider and see your doctor to determine if you have Whiplash. If you do, your doctor will grade your whiplash diagnosis on a scale from 1 to 4. Your doctor will then decide on which therapy is appropriate. This can be one or more of the following: medical, physical therapy, and chiropractic therapy. One of these professionals can prescribe massage therapy.

In Alberta, there is an allotted number of treatments per Whiplash grade, and all professional treatments count toward this limit. It’s crucial to consult your doctor and insurance provider first, as getting a massage without their guidance can void your coverage.

Relaxation Massage

Designed to soothe the mind and body. Perfect for those seeking a serene and calming experience. Relaxation massage promotes overall well-being, improved circulation, and a heightened sense of tranquility.

The massage **only focuses** on gentle, slow flowing strokes to melt away stress and tension, leaving you feeling rejuvenated and at peace. The strokes are gentle pressure, not deep pressure.

**If you are looking to relieve tension, tense muscles, hypertonicity, and trigger points, then please book a Therapeutic Massage. **

Therapeutic Massage

This treatment targets specific physical ailments and promotes healing. Ideal for individuals dealing with muscle tension, trigger points, hypertonicity, or chronic pain conditions.

The technique focuses on deeper layers of muscle and connective tissue to relieve chronic pain, improve mobility, and enhance recovery.

The massage may cause discomfort, depending on the pressure, and for up to 48 hours after the session.
